StillBirths / Fetal Death module

The StillBirths module records details of Fetal deaths, e.g. stillbirths, miscarriages.

A StillBirths / Fetal Deaths record includes:

  • An official registration number
  • Fetus's details: name, Date of Delivery, etc.
  • Details about the parents
  • Details about the pregnancy and delivery
  • Cause of death

Typical StillBirths module tabs and their purpose

Note: As every institution is able to customize Vitalware to suit its requirements, there are many different versions of Vitalware. Even where institutions have the same modules, the tabs included in each instance of the module may be different; and even where institutions have tabs with the same name, the fields on those tabs may be different. For that reason this section only provides a general description of modules, tabs and fields.

Index

A read-only summary of data entered on other tabs in the StillBirths module.

Child

Records a registration number, and details about the Fetus and delivery.

Parents

Records details about the parents.

Informants

Records additional details about the midwife / doctor and informants.

Cause of StillBirth

Records details about the cause of stillbirth, and the delivery / labour.

Certifier

Records details about the certifier and disposal.
